Krydex DCR3M clone vs ACETAC Spiritus clone
Acetac is left, Krydex is right. Had the ACETAC for a few months but the Krydex just came in yesterday. I decided to make one a hunting/archery centric rig to hold a rangefinder, monocular, extra pistol mag, batteries, knife, basic booboo kit etc and the other a dedicated rifle/range/shtf/LARP rig with a full IFAK and 3 mag loadout.
Quality wise I don't think one is massively better than the other. It feels like the same Cordura 500 material.
The real differences are price and features. The Krydex is like $60 and you just get the rig, X harness and AR mag sleeves and plastic inserts. The ACETAC comes with removable expander wings, a dangler pouch (which i moved to the Krydex to have a more robust IFAK situation), molle front panel and no plastic mag holders.
I'm not a navy SEAL or SWAT pipe hitter, just a hunter and prepared citizen. Both of these are totally fine for anything I'll realisticallly throw at them while in the field or training/taking classes. The main difference to me is just what features you're looking for, but in terms of whether or not they're good to go, I think both are good buys.
