Unpopular Opinion: I love dealing with printers
Okay hear me out. I actually don't mind dealing with copiers, print servers, etc. They are very tame.
At my last job, Which was one of the largest billboard printers in the US, we had a fleet of around 40 various 3 and 5 meter printers. Between the custom software and semi-custom PCBs that makes the printer talk to the computers, The software that runs the printer, which sometimes was in poorly translated english it was awful, Then add on RIP Software such as Caldera, Onyx, Fiery, ETC, which would stop working right if you looked at it funny. Then add into the mix of our own custom software that we would use for automation. There were times when I was dealing with those printers for multiple days on end and calling that printer every swear word in the book, and blasting Still in my headphones.
Then when HR or Accounting said their copier wasn't working, I was excited because it was something simple that I could probably figure out easily, and worst case I could make it a Xerox tech's problem.
