DO NOT DO SSP & MITES AT SAME TIME *WARNING*
I know, it's so tempting, but as an 2023 SSP alum and a 2024 MITES admit I promise you with 99% certainty you will DEFINITELY be kicked out of either program. I am looking out for you here, but if you decide against my advice don't say no one warned you.
For one, SSP runs from ~7 AM to 8 PM when it comes to purely lab work and lectures. After that is designated PSet time - typically up to around 10 PM - and then participants work on them at the dorm potentially til 12. MITES Semester runs virtually from 5 PM to 10 PM, not even counting the extensive homework as detailed by alumni.
It's not a matter of burning yourself out or being stressed 24/7 - it is a matter of impossibility and risking your place in either program. TLDR; Pick one.
