Why is heterochromia referred to as homophobia?

I know hetero means different or opposite and homo means same, but chromia means color, nothing to do with liking anything, so why is phobia which means dislike or fear used as the opposite of chromia?

Also random side note whenever I typed chromia I thought of the Transformers character lol.
