A new thematic Ability for some underwhelming Pokémon; Big Boss
Big Boss is a thematic ability that adds +1 Priority to all moves used by the Pokémon if it is the same type as its target. So in Honchkrow’s case, it has increased priority against any Dark or Flying opponent it targets. If the opponent has a higher Speed stat and uses a move like Bullet Punch or Sucker Punch, they will still go first since those moves have +1 priority also.
Honchkrow will lose Super Luck, Krookodile loses Anger Point, Bisharp loses Inner Focus, Vespiquen loses Unnerve, Gumshoos loses Strong Jaw, and Hariyama loses Thick Fat.
Kingambit does not get Big Boss, only Bisharp. Bisharp with Big Boss will get Supreme Overlord when they evolve.
This ability is powerful in scenario, but since its only active 1/9 of the time,* it balances it out enough to where I believe it won’t be too busted and can be worked around. I say 1/9 because out of the 18 types in-game, at maximum you inly prioritize against two of them unless you’re hit by a move like Forest Curse.
This ability works with Terastalization, so if Honchkrow becomes an Electric-type, it now has increased priority against other Electric-types but now Dark or Flying types.
