Teen’s first King

Sorry if I’ve done the wrong tag or title - I’m looking to give my younger brother (14) an introductory King novel which drags you in but isn’t too dark. I originally thought Duma Key, which is what I’m leaning towards now, but I’m also considering a good short story collection. The stand was my go to but it’s too long. Any advice would be much appreciated.
