Performance Settings

Hey S.T.A.L.K.E.R.s, what are you all running your game graphics at? I feel like every time I get into combat, I get a big lag spike/packet loss and my enemies are in completely different locations. This has worked one time in my favor: I had a packet loss getting into combat with the 3 baddies trying to overrun an NPC’s barricaded position. I dropped frames as I pulled the trigger on baddy #1’s head, got packet loss, and the last two baddies lagged into each other and I got 3 headshots with one bullet (talk about efficiency).

I currently run an AMD Ryzen 5600-ish CPU, GeForce Nvidia 2070 Super, 36 GB RAM. I’ve seen a picture of the suggested graphics settings, and my system seems to line up best with the Medium graphics settings, but I’m still getting a lot of packet loss. I don’t think it makes that much of a difference, but I run the game through PCGamePass.

I built this PC 5 years ago and I know I’ve been needing to upgrade for at least a year or two now, but it’s just hard to believe my PC isn’t able to run this smoothly on medium graphics when I play games like Ghost of Tsushima on high/ultra maintaining about 70 fps.

I’d like to hear if anyone else is having these issues like this, or if I need to change up some settings externally from the game.
