Rate my childhood.

It’s not much. I grew up poor and played these well into the 2000’s. I didn’t get a PS1 until 2001 and I didn’t get a PS2 until 2003. My mom bought a used SNES in 1998 (I was born in 1991) from an antique shop for $25. It came with Mario World and Yoshi’s island. I would go to this store called power gamer and spend my allowance. My favorite memory of that store was getting DKC3 for free when I bought 1 and 2 in 2001.

My copy of super street fighter 2 was destroyed in 2010 when a 4.5 magnitude earthquake shook my house. My CRT crushed the cartridge inside the Super Nintendo and caused it to snap in half. I was able to eject the bottom. My SNES works to this day.

I also had a N64. Smash Bros made me buy Kirby and try Star Fox. I fucking love Kirby but Yoshis Island and DKC2 are my favorites.
