CIO Update!
I just wanted to come back and give some words of encouragement to anyone who is considering but scared to try CIO. This was me 3 days ago until I woke up 7+ times with my (almost) 4 month old the night before. He’s been a horrible sleeper since birth. We are now 3 days in and have had two amazing nights already. Little buddy just put himself back down for a nap in 10 minutes. No fussing. No crying. Just “goodnight.”
I was so scared to have to resort to CIO but this has been the best thing I have done for my baby and my family. First day was hard but stick with it. It works and QUICKLY!
I suggest taking some notes to see your progress. I will probably keep documenting until I’m certain he is fully sleep trained.
