Baby girl won’t sleep by herself
My daughter is 11 weeks old (born 5 weeks early) We’re trying to establish a schedule but since my girl was 3 weeks old she no longer wants to sleep by herself. And the only way she sleeps is on me. I’ve tried so many things (and combined a few of these) -warming her bassinet -putting her down slowly -white noise -a crib rocker -swaddles -putting her to sleep on a full belly.
If I do manage to put her down asleep she stays there for only 20 minutes no more and wakes up crying because I’m not there
I’m co sleeping and it’s something I didn’t want to do but it got to the point I had no option as exhaustion was getting dangerous as I’d end up passing out whilst feeding her and the next thing I know she’s crying for more food but she’s somewhere else in the bed! Really scary!
Also around the house she won’t allow me to put her down. If she’s on her play gym she’s there for 5-10 mins max before crying for me. She’s too young to self soothe so I know she won’t “cry herself to sleep” and honestly I don’t like the sound of that anyway…
Any advice or help would be appreciated. I feel like I can’t even feed, wash or go to the bathroom let alone taking care of the house whilst my partner works long hours.
