Has anyone successfully given up skiing and replaced it with another hobby?
I think about skiing night and day all winter. But living in midwest with young kids and aging parents who need care doesn't lend itself to this hobby. It has become a source of gloom because FOMO just makes me unhappy.
I even packed up all my gear and put in the basement out of sight but i still constantly think about skiing. I want to replace it with another hobby but haven't really found anything. I am trying 'vlogging' with my new dji pocket 3 but its not going well and i find it boring. Ice skating is boring too.
Edit: you guys gave me tons of ideas. I just signed up to get a lesson for pickleball and signed up for ice hockey league. I am also interested in fat bikes.
still processing other suggestions.
rejected ( probably) : drinking, abandoning kids, cooking meth
