Used skis

Old old is considered too old to be functional for a pair of skis? I live in northern Japan and you can find a ton of skis in thrift shops that appear to be in great condition. I’ve been skiing a handful of times and can cruise around the easy slopes reasonably well and plan to ski a ton this season due to our proximity to multiple mountains. My husband got me a set of Salomon verse 10s as pictured that look great, but with googling I found out they’re approximately 20 years old and regardless of how pristine they appear, I’m concerned about getting out in the slopes on them. Thoughts and feelings?
