People be so quick to humble others on here.

It seems as though confidence is always mistaken as arrogance on this subreddit and people tend to make snarky comments a lot about people who aren't good singers but have confidence that they can get better.

Let's face it. Lots of people start off as bad singers. It should be normalized to not be so good at something and still have confidence that you can become better. People don't become good singers overnight, so it makes sense to be awful at singing at first.

Who are people to tell others how they should and shouldn't feel about their singing passion? If people has a goal of having 3-4 or even 5 octaves, then who are you to put them down for it? People have every right to want what they want for themselves. Singing should be fun, not a confidence destroyer.

However, I do agree that some people do need to be told that they need to improve in certain areas as a singer (because they may not be doing something right and their performance is off...just like how I was told that I needed to improve my whistling because honestly I was bad at whistling anyway and I need improvement), but people shouldn't be such dicks about it.
