Update on Whiskey - Donation in my Bio

Reposting because it was removed for including link. Sadly this picture is not recent. I am still waiting to hear back from the vet to pick Whiskey up. He collapsed this morning as I was getting him and myself ready for his scheduled blood recheck. I freaked out and rushed him to office. His platelet count was still at 0 but his RBC (red blood cell) count has been dropping since his relapse. Thankfully he was still barking and alert and wasn’t showing signs of a bleeding in the brain so he probably collapsed from the lack of RBC.

He had to get his first blood transfusion today. He has been there since this morning and is on his 2nd bag. Still waiting to pick him up. If all goes well this should buy us some time and give us a buffer until his autoimmune suppressants take effect and his platelets begin to recover. The vet also told me once we get past this stage they would recommend to get a bone marrow transplant and a spleen removal.

I was able to handle expenses up until this relapse so I have decided to open a g0FundM3 (don’t want to get removed) for my fur baby. Please share and keep him in your prayers. Love you husky community ❤️ The link should be in the bio section of my profile.
