Carrie and the Politician guy...

Okay I know it's not everyone's thing and in my opinion only... kinda gross but did Carrie have to shame the politician guy on his fetish? In her article? That just seemed mean to me. He wasn't the best and nicest either shaming her for her work but I wonder if she had to go public with his fetish?
