Husband's shirt to daughter's dress

My 4 year old absolutely loved the hibiscus on my husband's shirt, and he hardly ever wore it so now it's hers. I improvised on the pattern 'Daily mail promotions 10301 girl's dress', changing the pattern based on how much fabric I had and using pre-existing hems and buttons instead of a side zip.

I love how little fabric is required to make kids' clothes. Plus buttons are a pain so thrifting men's tops is the best! I gave myself bonus points for adequately pattern matching the pocket - I removed it before chopping up the shirt into bodice/skirt and placed it at her thigh height
