Will Fidelity Extended car warranty cover a expensive 16k fuel system replacement on my truck?
Long story short- bought a diesel truck. Paid like 4-5k for fidelity powertrain warranty for like 40k miles. Bought truck @ 100k miles and currently has 114k miles. Truck kept turning off randomly and when under load or towing. Went to dealership and was told needed Fuel pump along with entire fuel system due to the fuel pump sending metal thru the entire system. Estimated @ 12-16k to replace entire fuel system. Will fidelity cover it for anybody who has had experience with them? Fuel system such as injectors fuel pump etc is technically under powertrain warranty so they should cover it IMO. My advisor is currently fighting with them to make them pay for it but they keep asking for additional diagnostics. Right know I'm at a standstill with them because they want the mechanics to open the motor up more to confirm that the fuel pump is bad and that the pump is a fault for exposing the entire fuel system for them to consider paying the repair. I'm scared right now honestly ain't no way I'm going to pay 15k to fix my truck if fidelity fails to pay up. Any thoughts?
