Is introversion a weakness?

Many at times,I have come across experiences where people have ridiculed introverts for their supposed "antisocial behaviour" and how they like their own company and do not want to have the conventional social life.Which made me think about how society might have tagged introversion as a weakness.So I would like to know about your opinions on introverts and how do you view introverts? (Please be as honest as possible)
