Prosci Certification?

I would like to know if anyone thinks that getting the Prosci certification would add any value to a Scrum Master's career. If anyone does not know the Prosci certification is the gold standard for change management.

Story: A friend of mine is who is a Scrum Masters at another organization came to me with the idea of getting the Prosci certification and wanted to get my opinion. I told him that I do not think that it adds value unless he is in a executive role to implement scrum (agile) on an organizational level. Otherwise it would be useless for small teams. I told him that scrum and change management are two different roles though some components might have some overlap. He insists that getting the Prosci certification would bring value but I disagree unless he is leading agile transformation at his organization.
