"Seven Days" is a great show

Figured I would make a "Seven Days" appreciation thread. As a teenager, I would stay up late to watch it on Spike TV (remember that!).

It's been awhile so I am rewatching it now, and still just as fun as I remember. It has its flaws but under the surface of being another sci-fi special ops show, it actually has some sophisticated concepts. It also references other fictional franchises and real world events. It also has cameos from the usual 90s/2000s sci-fi actor pool.

Anyway, now that I am older and wiser watching through it, I noticed a glaring plot hole. So they can send the sphere back seven days, right? Well, we have episodes like the 5th one where Frank has to stop a burglary that ends up blowing up the DPRK consulate. One the first time jump, he has an hour to respond. But then he ends up having to redo it because something goes horribly wrong... and when this does happen, he is back to 1 hour to respond.

What I don't understand is, if you can jump back a week, and this resets the time-space continuum, then why can't you just go back another week as soon as you go back? I can't remember if this was ever explained.

The other super obvious problem with this show is that the super important chrononaut is also the first to respond to the dangerous scenarios. Realistically, you would want to preserve this critical asset and send an assault team, but this is a TV show :P
