AD Email…
A few months back I noted my interest in a No Date Sub at a local AD. They initially mentioned they were not taking any interest on new models as they “cannot keep up with the demand” long story short, a few weeks later the SA emailed me saying that if one of their clients was looking to sell a pre owned model would if I would be interested. I found this a little shady of them but replied and said yes to see what would come of it.
Cut to this morning and I receive this email, sure enough one of her clients has a 2021 no date sub and looking for 19,700. (Way too much) . Clearly she’s trying to get a cut of the sale.
My response was “as you are aware MSRP new is $12,050 CAD so as this is as “pre owened” watch the asking price is a little high”.
I wonder what Rolex would think of this whole thing if they were made aware how the AD was conducting business.
