What's the difference between Christian Denominations?

As a person who is trying to study religion, I realized I need to understand the differences between Christian denominations. I grew up Catholic before turning Agnostic, but to be fair my family isn't catholic anymore, just Christian in general if that makes sense. I don't exactly remember what the catholic teachings were.

So what's the difference in each Christian denominations' views?
