accidentally put an end to my chocolate addiction

i have very few vices (mainly because I don't have a tendency to pick up things known to be addictive), but chocolate I've always been a fiend for. i guess because with sweets they get you hooked while you're still a child. id always crave a square or two after a meal and between. I'd go through a chocolate bar in a day. it was pretty humiliating

the way i stopped was accidental: went on a trip to visit my bf's family and his mother would feed us gigantic amazing meals several times a day so i never had the stomach / mental space for chocolate.

on the same trip I've started reading the ultra-processed people book (recommended by someone in this sub, tnx!). it really did its job, because when i returned home to my chocolate stash chocolate started tasting disgusting. i broke off my two habitual 2 squares and couldn't finish the second one!! now idk what to do with all the chocolate in my fridge.

hoping scrolling is next 🙏
