Joovv and their horrible customer service and filtered out reviews

I really wasn't expecting to encounter these issues with a company everyone seems to rave about (damn you Huberman, you got me too lol) and assumed they were a typical forward-thinking cool startup that cared about quality and valued the customers spending hundreds of dollars on their products. So like a fool, I didn’t even question the 99% of 5-star reviews on their website.

Here are the two major ethical issues I’ve encountered with this company (this doesn't include issues with the device itself):

  1. Unprofessional, rude, and unhelpful customer service representatives.
  2. A biased and misleading review system where critical feedback is filtered out and suppressed.

I won’t dive into the months of frustrating back-and-forth I endured with their shipping and return process, or the cold, unhelpful responses I received. Nor will I elaborate on the misinformation from their customer service that led me to use the device incorrectly. But I'll share my experience after finally owning my Joovv Go 2.0.

I haven’t had the Joovv Go long enough to speak on its health effects so there's still some kind of hope, but I was definitely disappointed with its technical features and usability, especially for such an expensive product that requires daily use. Naturally, I wanted to provide honest feedback to help improve their future products, so I submitted a constructive criticism review on their website, three times. None of them were published. When I revisited their review section, this time I found it odd that only five-star reviews were posted, with none addressing the issues I, and surely others, had experienced.

Yesterday, I reached out to inform them that my review hadn’t been posted and politely asked for clarification. This was their response:

Seriously? Is this a joke? First of all, where is this attitude coming from? lol Second, why aren't you answering my question? And third, what kind of review system filters out feedback from verified customers who followed all the submission guidelines? In what world is it okay for a company to hide any review that isn’t five stars? Am I the only one who’s experienced this, or have others faced similarly ridiculous treatment?

And Isn't this alarming? How can I trust a company or their products that operates with such questionable ethics? I deeply regret giving hundreds of dollars to them and I won’t be making any future purchases. It’s honestly unsettling to own a product from a company that operates with such values but well, now I'm stuck with a $600 lamp bought from what appears to be a d*ck company..
