New TRX-4M to upgrade or not to upgrade
Hello folks, I got back in the RC scene due to some forced downtime on my motorbike :-)
Santa brought me a TRX-4M Defender. Why did I not get the standard one? The size and cost of upgrades, I thought. And well, that was probably not a great idea.
Today, I played for the first time with the bone stock TRX-4M. It is well capable of handling the terrain in my "playground" and it's quite fun, but I realised that at least "some" upgrades are necessary.
Now, the question is... if I go all the way and install all the upgrades I want, the total cost is about 600 EUR, which is pretty crazy considering that a TRX4 costs 600, and a TRX4-Sport costs 450.
The upgrades I have in mind are:
- Meus 2-speed gearbox
- Lift Kit
- RCAWD Portals
- Wheels & Tires
- Servo
- Brushless Kit
- Skid Plates
This would be phase 1, in the next phase, I'd be purchasing light, sound and more realistic body add-ons.
Now, looking at that amount of money, I could get a stock TRX4-S HT, battery and charger.
What do you think?
