Terrible smell

I have a RAV4P24 that I've driven ~5k miles. I love the car, but lately, I've been noticing a weird smell that has started bothering me. Whenever I start the car and drive a few meters, I get a horrible smell. It seems like plastic burning or something. Has anyone faced this before ? Is this a known common issue ?
More context: not sure if it matters, but I've mostly been driving the car in EV mode, and have driven ~500 miles in HV mode.
