2018 q50 3.0t road noise fix

Hello Recently rented this car with awd in Dallas. Love the styling and acceleration, interior although refreshed is still no where near lexus or Mercedes but oh well. Here is the downer for me, these have active sound deadening and fake engine sound over the stereo from the start. Trouble is the road noise is still horrendous at highway speeds 70-80mph. Car only had 18k miles, Bridgestone potenza tires, tire and wind noise seem to be the cause. I could also hear the guy in a wrx next to me on his hands free phone stopped at a light thought that was weird. Is this normal? Anybody change tires or add sound deadening to the q50- And notice significant difference? I love the performance and the used cars are cheap partly because of rental cars and leases flooding the market. Can buy 2018 3.0t luxe for 25k but the road noise is a damn shame. It's fine at city speeds but I need a quiet higway cruiser as well. I own a 02 ls430 16 es350 and 04 gx470 and all of them are significantly quieter than q50. The LS is ridiculously quiet but even the gx470 (4runner v8 clone) on AT tires is quieter at the same speeds. I was hoping the road noise difference would not be so great with this updated 2018 version. Thanks for your thoughts. Have not tested at Gs350 yet... The v6 turbo and Ecu tuning potential and lowish resale value cought my eye...
