Transition to industry as an international student

Hello All,

1. Is getting a postdoc a reasonable strategy to enter the job market as an international?
2. Which countries are good in regards of ease of this transition in terms of job availability and visa sponsorship?

Indian National, PhD from Top 20 US school, Field: Mechanical. Looking for non US options because of visa conditions for Indian born persons.
