Why do you guys want to get a PMP?

Kind of a random but I've been studying for my PMP. I've finished my course (35 credits) and have learned a ton. I still have a lot to practice before I even try to take the test and was wondering if it's even worth it. My end goal is just to switch jobs, not necessarily to have the certification. My resume is not an issue as I still get calls back rom recruiters.

So I was wondering about how others feel and what is your motivation for getting your certification?
