What Re these white spots on my Pothos roots?

I am propagating it in water and had to leave for a work trip for a little over a week. Came back to these white spots.

It is sitting in my north-east facing balcony so nice morning sun with shaded afternoon sun. I am in South East Asia so hot humid all year round.

Not sure if the photos are clear enough, will get more photos tomorrow in daylight!
