Will it be okay to clean my eyebrow piercing??

It’s been healing for eight months but there’s a bunch of dead skin from where I can’t properly dry the area after showering or washing my face. I’m so tempted to just take the jewellery out and give everything a good clean but I don’t want it to close up or close problems 🥲
