Lumps of scar tissue in ear lobes. Possible to repierce?

Hi! I had my ear lobes pierced 3 times as a kid (elementary school):

1st time: Pierced with a gun at Claire's. Got infected due to cheap jewelry. Closed up. 2nd time: Two people pierced them with a gun at the same time making them very uneven. Had to let close up. 3rd time: Pierced again with a gun. Problems with infection. Let close up.

My mom did not know she should have taken me to an actual piercer back then and blamed the infections on cheap jewlery. I have a feeling it was a mix of both the poor technique and issues with certain metals.

I am in my 30s now and each ear lobe has a lump of scar tissue in it (inside/not visible) probably a little smaller than a pea in size. I know I'll need to see a piercer in person to fully assess if I could get my ears pierced over or around the scar tissue but I thought I'd ask here first if it's even worth getting assessed.

Thanks!
