Only want to learn a few specific songs, but they are all hard!

I want to start playing the piano but only to learn a couple of songs, they all seem to be in intermediate to advanced technical levels and i don't have interest in learning anything else, maybe i will try improvisation in the future too, but probably nothing too far from that, would learning hard songs first damage my progress in any way? Can i develop bad technique habits by doing so?
I am a guitarist, so i got some ear training, basic music theory and rhythm notions already developed.
