Thoughts on Dawn?

I’ve been revisiting Dawn a lot recently, I made it the third Phil album I own (first two being Mount Eerie and The Glow Pt 2) I feel like I’ve seen this one go under the radar in a lot of discussions or at least ranked somewhat lower or in the mid range of his albums. Personally,it’s in my top 3 Phil albums. I think it has some of his best songwriting just across the entire project,the guitar(s) sound gorgeous from front to back,I think it shows just how good of a player he is more than any of his albums. It’s fairly straightforward compared to some of his more versatile projects but I think that’s a positive as it allows his raw talent as a lyricist to shine,imo,better than he’s ever done it. I’d like to hear thoughts!
