Outlast trials no longer needs ps plus?

I've opened my game today and they no longer asked me if I wanted co-op or solo, and when i entered the sleeping room there were other players whom I was able to invite to my party

I don't have ps plus and till today the game didn't let me go co-op without It, is this a bug or will the game be free of Online subscription like it says in the ps store?
