I want to join the oil industry, I’m a tradesmen right now. I grew up in southern NM right in the oil field region.

How can I quickly get a job? I don’t know exactly what I want to do in oil, so any suggestions that don’t require a degree will do.

I don’t know if the patch is like the trades, meaning I just show up to that city/town (likely Odessa, or midland) & start shaking hands, passing out resumes.
