How is the CHS experience for current undergraduates so far? Asking as a graduated NUS student

I've had many friends complain to me about the execution of the common curriculum, is it really that bad?

A cursory glance of the CHS curriculum gives me the impression that it is all over the place. Also apparently most of the module tutors are randomly assigned from the various FASS/FoS dpts as well.
