AC ISSUES!!!

Hello all! I have a 2013 pathfinder who’s AC isn’t working properly. I’ve taken it to a trusted mechanic who tried diagnosing the issue but could only deduce that it WASNT the compressor. I took it to Nissan and they want me to pay 1200 for a new compressor! I’m just at a lost atp. I wish I could fix it myself.
