Best nice hotels?

So my new wife and I just got married, and for several reasons need to postpone our actual honeymoon until early next year at the earliest. She has mentioned maybe getting away for the weekend though, and relaxing at a nice hotel somewhere in the state. Does anyone have any good recommendations for a nice hotel that (preferably) won’t break the bank on a weekend stay?
