People who have seen the city change
Describe how you've seen the city change over the years.
I've seen the city chnage over the course of 25 years. I'll go first.
I was there when the Pelican Park was in full swing but now it's shut.
Dense forest after ABB circle. I remember trips to Sanskruti hotel meant driving through pitch black roads. Ata Sanskruti hotel keva pass houn jaata samjat pan nai.
Falke Smarak was fully functional. Everything from the water rides to the fountains was functional. Now it's all rubbles.
Huge Baniyan trees on the Mumbai Agra Highway (NH3). It was a single lane back and had huge Baniyan Trees on both the sides. Belive me they were HUGE.
Also Bali maharaj temple was right in the center of the highway (the swayambhu murti was discovered on that spot, hence the location) now it's moved to the sides and is bigger in size. FACT - there are only a couple of Bali Maharaj temples in India.
Gammat Jammat was functional. It's the abandoned hotel at the right turn you take from JIT college on Gangapur Road.
We could go the Dam wall for cycling. Now it's not allowed due to unfortunate incidents.
Have seen the most glorious days of Sula Fest. Back in days Sula Fest had more people from outside of Nashik attending it than the locals. Now it's way too crowded and not that fun it used to be. I spent most of time on the 'Atmasphere stage' than the Amphitheater.
Nashik did not have a fancy missals until 2016 i guess. All the joints were based in a hotel and not farms.
The suyojit Bridge (Bapu Pool) that you know now was hub for bikers and car enthusiasts. Evening was for whillies, drifts and stoppies! The road was so scenic and the garden was very pretty too. Now you know what kind of state it's in.
You could also score pretty good grass back in the days for very little money. Now it's vahiyaat to say the least. And OG on the other hand is expensive.
Hookah parlours peaked in 2015-17. My go to spot was Hotel Celebration at Pathardi Phata.
That's it for now. There's so much to tell, will make another post. Time to know your experiences. Let's interact in the comments!
