My kindergartener doesn’t share a name with anyone at her large public school!
I gave my daughter 5 years ago a name that hit my qualifications- recognizable as a name, not commonly used, easy to pronounce and spell, feminine without being precious. Now that she’s in kindergarten, when I go to check her in or out of school I have to type her name into the computer. It brings up all the kids who share a name in common, and the first time I had to check her out early I was honestly surprised to find that no one else in her school (probably ~600 kids) was named that. Her name is June Frances and there are a couple Junipers at her school but no other Junes!
Anyone else been surprised at how common/uncommon the name they chose for their child has been?
