Ureaplasma will not go away after many rounds of antibiotics

I tested positive for ureaplasma about a year ago. My test results showed that Levofloxacin was the antibiotic that had the best potential to treat it. So I was treated with Levofloxacin 500mg per day for 7 days. I waited 4 weeks and when I was tested again the ureaplasma test was negative and my symptoms were also gone.

My partner was not treated and he re-infected me. I was prescribed the same antibiotic and dose as last time (my partner was as well) but it didn't work this time. I also developed very bad tendonitis in my elbow as a result of the Levofloxacin, so both of my doctors have told me that I should not take that antibiotic again. Also my infectious disease doctor said that it's possible that the bacteria is now resistant to Levofloxacin, which is why the 2nd time I took it, it did not get rid of the infection.

After the first failed Levofloxacin treatment I have been prescribed the following:

2nd treatment: Doxycycline 100mg, 2 times a day for 7 days

3rd treatment: Azithromycin 500mg, take 4 tablets at once as a single dose

4th treatment: Doxycycline 100mg, 2 times per day for 2 weeks, then Azithromycin 500mg, take 2 tablets the 1st day, then 1 tablet daily for 4 days

5th treatment: Azithromycin 500mg, once per day for 3 weeks

After each of these 5 treatments I waited 4 weeks then got tested. Each time I'm still positive for ureaplasma and still having symptoms. My partner has been prescribed all of these too at the same time as me. For treatment 4 and 5, my partner and I abstained from any type of sexual activity, just as an extra measure of caution.

In my latest test result it noted that the bacteria shows potential resistance to tetracycline, doxycycline, minocycline, macrolide, lincosamide, and streptogramin antibiotics.

I just feel like I'm never going to get rid of this and I hate taking all of these antibiotics. It can't be good for my body. I've been referred to an infectious disease doctor and he's the one who prescribed the last 2 courses of antibiotics. He has basically told me that he doesn't think prescribing more antibiotics would be helpful at this point and just wants to wait a few weeks and see if the infection clears up on its own. Does anything work if the bacteria is being this stubborn to treat? It seems like it's resistant to all the antibiotics.
