Suggest me guys, as I’m newbie to mutual funds

I’m planning to invest in mutual funds and my budget is 3K. I’m still not aware of it and Got some questions in my head that will I lose my money after investing?

That’s why I’m investing in low budget. Kindly help me on this by suggesting some good mutual funds sip plan.

Can I split the funds into 3*1 as flexi cap, midcap, large cap ??
