Where do you find cool events and activities in Montreal?

I'm curious how people are discovering fun events and new things to do in or around the city in 2025? I find mtl to be such an if-you-know-you-know type of city. What platforms/pages are everyone using or is it through word-of-mouth?

Too often, I'll purchase tickets to an event or show and it looks like it's going to be fun, but the crowd or music or vibe kills it for me.

Is this everyone's experience? If no, what are others' challenges when attending an activity/class/party/pop-up? I have quite a few and want to suss out if it's just me or others as well. Also any tips for finding success when trying to meet new 20-30 somethings in this city?
