Has anyone noticed the influx of Owls?

Over the last month and a half or so, I started hearing the strangest calls late into the night. At first, I thought I was dreaming but when I kept hearing it and described it in google, it came up as a Barred Owl. 🦉 They almost sound like monkeys or something but since the initial encounter, I’ve started hearing them at least 4 nights a week. I’m in south Memphis and when I lived in east memphis, I never heard them.

Is it just me?
