Male haircuts

Men of Melbourne! Not long ago I took my son to a barbar and showed a younger photo of him and asked for that haircut. The hairdresser just did as he pleased but about the length we asked for.

Then today my partner went to a different barbar and asked for short on the sides and a bit longer on the top and he was technically given that but the barbar practically shaved his head leaving an oval tuft on the top of his head, a cut that you might see on a teenager perhaps that hangs around train stations and not typically on middle aged school teachers.

Men please tell me how my family can get the haircut they want???
