In need of urgent help

Hi everyone,

I just joined this thread to ask for your opinion. I was fermenting my first mead for quite some time with it already being transferred to a second jar for clearing, aging, etc.

But now just in the day I thought I would bottle it up for Christmas I found out this stuff in the top.

After some research I think it may not be mold… there is no hairy substance, no odd smell (it smells good actually), and it’s purely white. I found that it could be some yeast vessels or bacteria which should not be harmful.

I also found out I can use some chemicals which I have no idea where to get to neutralise whole batch… but yeah I am not sure with any of these things as until this I made only kombucha and this thing is my first encounter.

Any help and advice will be deeply appreciated, I have other DIY things to give as presents, but damn I was excited about my mead haha
