How long ago was this?

I remember playing this game for the first time and liking it very much. The thing is I don't remember when this was, so maby reddit hisorians could help me. Some things I remember about the game from back them were: You could only keep a couple Items at a time, the skins were either only fashionable and didn't have any effects, or I just forgot. Would love to know what year's this update was active.
