Is it wise to buy refurbished without AppleCare?

Hi small question but an important one for me,

I want to buy an m1 or m2 MacBook Pro. I can wait until the stock is back on the apple refurbished store this would mean I can purchase apple care.

Or I can buy from Amazon refurbished without apple care.

How important is apple care? I will be using it for making music so I will need to travel with it from time to time.

Are the MacBooks reliable enough that I won’t need the care.

Any help with this would be appreciated.
