LOTR themed party and scavenger hunt

My partner’s 30th birthday is coming up and I really want to celebrate him. About a year ago he got all of our friends to read the hobbit and the lord of the rings trilogy which was too sweet and special. Now his birthday is coming up in July and I really want to surprise him with a whole day just for him.

I’d love to do a scavenger hunt and do a whole journey of the fellowship together.

A few ideas I’ve come up with are:

boiling and mashing and putting things in a stew. This one needs work because I know he won’t actually want to cook or anything.

A whole journey with check points either following aragorns journey or frodos and Sam’s journey or a mixture of the two.

I was also thinking the reward at the end is taking a tab with friends and celebrating the fellowship (we’re big festival goers)

I have the classic “no admittance except on party business sign” and I’ll be making him a cloak with the leaves of lothlorien and thinking of getting little hobbit feet.

Any ideas would be so helpful!!
